For the
second year, Seneca Park & Recreation is sponsoring a Farmer’s Market. The
event begins June 5th and runs through August 28th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Main Street in Seneca (across from the Marathon Gas Station). The Park Board is looking for vendors with homemade products such as garden produce, baked cookies, cakes,
pies, fresh mushrooms, or fresh fruit. Vendors with handmade art work, photography,
or hand sewn products are also welcome. Last year was the first year for the
Farmer’s Market and it was very successful. Those interested in being a
new vendor can pick up a form at Seneca City
Hall or show up on June 5th. Vendors can
call Jean at 815- 357-8188 or Fran at 815-357-8816. Vendors are asked to arrive
early and pick out their own spot at $5 per day.
