Bed Races Waiver of Liability:THIS PORTION MUST BE SIGNED BY ALL THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT AND RETURNED THE DAY OF EVENT BEFORE
5:30pm on June 24th, 2010 to Race Coordinator.
In consideration of the acceptance of my application/ entry form for Marseilles 175th Celebration Bed Races,
I hereby release all associated groups: Marseilles 175th Celebration, Marseilles Tourism and Park Comm, City Officials,
City of Marseilles, and any other persons officially or unofficially connected with this event, from any injuries connected
with this event/competition for damages whatsoever arising from this event.

Marseilles 175th Celebration Bed Race Rules
and Construction
Thursday, June 24th: Sign In Time 5:30pm on
Main St., Marseilles Start time 6pm.
Jump Under the Sheets and Roll Down the Street.
*No flip-flops, sandals or BARE FEET *Team of 4 or 5
with ONE rider (mandatory at all times)
*Name of team or sponsor on the bed.
*Two beds race at once, best two times will have a “race off”
*Rider of bed has to be age 10 or up.
*ALL members of the Team must be in contact with the bed at all times.
*The use of distractions, (water guns, horns, megaphones) are encouraged and approved.
*Participants are encouraged to decorate themselves and their beds.
BED REVIEW
*Human power ONLY, non-motorized
*The frame of the bed does NOT need to be the original bed, but MUST mimic a bed by having a head and foot board.
* Bed to have a minimum of four wheels.
*Bed may have push bars, not to exceed width of the bed, No ropes. NO PULLING.
*NO youth beds or cribs.
*Beds should include mattress, one sheet and pillow. Air mattresses permitted.
*All members of the team must in contact with the bed at all times.
Cash Prizes dependant on the number of Entrants.
*Judges decisions are final
All team members between ages 10 through 17 MUST have written permission
and waiver:
